K-Space is a public benefit corporation whose mission is to work with artists, non-artists, and local communities to transform experiences of oppression into peace messages through performance.
Our work centers stories of (im)migration, queerness, violence and the ways these intersect in communities of color.
Since 2011, we have invested over $975,000 to support 400+ artists of color and served 11,000+ audience members worldwide.
K-Space Studio
K-Space Studio incubates and produces exceptionally weird films uplifting misfit stories and talent unseen. Our work includes NERO, which was produced as a SAG-AFTRA new media series between 2020 and 2024.
Peacemaking Theater™
K-Space grew from an underground collective of like-minded artists gathering in a midtown apartment to a Peacemaking Theater™ creating work for our community, which identifies primarily as queer, Asian, Latine and/or immigrant.
Community Co-Lab
Through Community Co-Lab, K-Space collaborates with artists and local communities to radically imagine a culture of peace through community-driven public events, social media advocacy campaigns and participatory research.
